Hijikata suddenly becomes larger. At first, Kagura, Shinpachi, and Gintoki don't understand the situation and can't find a solution.
After Hijikata becomes larger, the neighbors start to panic and say they want to drive him away. Kagura protects Hijikata and gets hit by stones thrown by the neighbors. When Hijikata sees Kagura being attacked, he suddenly becomes terrifying and loses his sanity. No one can hold him back as he desperately flees.
Hijikata was originally a deity, but after the shrine closed down, the shrine maiden left him at the entrance of the Yorozuya. Kagura picked him up at that time, and their bond goes without saying.
With everyone's desperate efforts, they finally manage to subdue Hijikata through the Five Stars Formation.
In the final scene, Gintoki watches TV, and the scene being shown is this one. Gintoki says, "What a boring program, it's all mosaic." But in Gintoki's heart, he is actually more happy.
